Q. How old do I have to be to start Driving Lessons?

 

A. You need to be at least 17 years old to start Driving Lessons. You can apply for a Provisional Licence When you are 16 years old. To do this you will need to complete a D1 form from the Post Office & send it to the DVLA.

Q. How many Driving Lessons will I require to Pass my Driving Test?

 

A. According to the Driving Standards Agency – those who pass their Driving Test have had, on average about 47 hours of Professional Training combined with 20 hours of private practice. However like everything this depends on the individual pupil as everyone learns at their own pace – make sure you choose an Instructor who is flexible in their approach to teaching & lets you progress at your own pace.

Q. How do I book my Theory/Driving test?

 

A. Click on the Button on Home Page of this Site for either Theory Test or Practical Test - This Button takes you directly to the relevant Government Site for Booking Tests - Be aware that you should not Book any Test unless it is through the appropriate .Gov Site.

Do Not Book through Sites that Offer unlimited Tests - Lots of these Sites are Fake!!!

Q. When can I apply for my Practical Driving Test?

 

A. Before you can apply for the Practical Driving Test you will have first had to pass the Driving Theory Test – You can take the Driving Theory Test as soon as you are 17 years old. When you have passed the Theory Test your Instructor will advise you on the right time to apply for your Practical Driving Test.

Q. How often should I have Lessons?

 

A. This will depend on your individual circumstances but it is recommended that a pupil should take at least 1.5 or 2 Hours per week.

 

 

Q. Do you Offer Intensive ‘Crash’ Courses (Learn to Drive in a Week)

 

A. No – I don’t personally feel they give a pupil enough knowledge & experience especially when it comes to driving in varying weather & traffic conditions. I feel a good solid course of lessons at various times of the Day & Night & in all weather conditions will make you a Safer, Better Driver for Life.
